Haus Legal Policies

1. TERMS OF COLLECTION

Last updated: July 2026

Welcome to le haus of dog, home of The Dog Vinci Collection Legal Policies.

These Terms of Collection apply to purchases made through this website. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes your statutory rights as a consumer.

The House

le haus of dog is an independent business based in the United Kingdom.

Email: hausconcierge@lehausofdog.com

The Collection

le haus of dog creates and offers original dog-inspired artwork, apparel, prints, accessories and collectible pieces, including works from The Dog Vinci Collection.

We make every reasonable effort to represent products accurately.

Colours, textures, proportions, print placement and appearance may vary slightly between screens, materials and individual production processes. Such minor variations are part of the nature of physical production and are not normally considered defects.

Orders

Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase the selected goods.

An order becomes accepted when we confirm acceptance or dispatch.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where a product is unavailable, information or pricing contains an obvious error, payment cannot be authorised, or we reasonably suspect fraudulent or unlawful activity.

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, the appropriate amount will be refunded.

Prices & Payment

Prices are displayed in the currency shown at checkout.

Applicable delivery charges and taxes collected by us will be shown before the purchase is completed.

Payment must be successfully authorised before an order can be processed.

Limited & Collector Editions

Certain works may be released as limited, numbered, first or collector editions.

Where an edition is limited to a specific quantity, this will be stated in the relevant product description or accompanying documentation.

Edition numbers, Codex references, archive references, certificates and other identifiers document a piece's place within the collection.

They do not represent an investment or guarantee future financial value.

Intellectual Property

Unless expressly stated otherwise, all original artwork, illustrations, designs, graphics, photographs, collection names, written material and other original creative content associated with le haus of dog and The Dog Vinci Collection remain protected by applicable intellectual-property rights.

Purchasing a physical product does not transfer copyright, reproduction or commercial-use rights in the underlying artwork or design.

No artwork or design may be reproduced, copied, commercially distributed, used to manufacture merchandise or otherwise commercially exploited without prior written permission.

Historical & Artistic References

The Dog Vinci Collection draws inspiration from art history, historical works, artistic movements and the visual language of museums and old masters.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, le haus of dog and The Dog Vinci Collection are independent creations and are not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by or officially connected with any museum, gallery, cultural institution, historical artist's estate or other third party.

Consumer Rights

Nothing within these Terms of Collection affects the statutory rights available to you under applicable consumer law.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections applicable to you.

One thing still needs adding before publishing: your proper business/correspondence address. I haven't invented one and quietly buried it in legal text, because that would be an impressively stupid way to finish an otherwise rather polished site.

3. DELIVERY & RETURNS

Last updated: July 2026

At le haus of dog, many pieces are produced individually or in small production runs. We want every piece to arrive as intended and every return to be handled fairly.

Delivery

Estimated production and delivery times are shown where available and may vary depending on the product, destination and fulfilment partner.

Once your order has been dispatched, tracking information will be provided where available.

For international orders, customs duties, import taxes or other local charges may apply. Unless these have been collected at checkout, they are the responsibility of the recipient.

Your Right to Cancel

If you are a UK consumer purchasing online, you will normally have the right to cancel an eligible order within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason.

To cancel an eligible order, contact:

hausconcierge@lehausofdog.com

Please include your name, order number and a clear statement that you wish to cancel your purchase.

After notifying us of cancellation, the goods should be returned within 14 days.

Unless an item is faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning it.

Returned pieces should be kept in reasonable condition. Where permitted by law, we may make a deduction from a refund if unnecessary handling has reduced the value of the goods.

Personalised & Bespoke Pieces

The statutory right to cancel does not normally apply to goods made specifically to your requirements or clearly personalised for you.

An ordinary le haus of dog piece does not become personalised merely because it is printed or manufactured after you place your order.

Where a piece is genuinely bespoke or personalised, this will be made clear before purchase.

Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Orders

If your piece arrives damaged, faulty or materially different from what you ordered, contact us at:

hausconcierge@lehausofdog.com

Please provide your order number and, where useful, photographs showing the issue.

We will arrange the appropriate remedy in accordance with your statutory consumer rights, which may include replacement, repair or refund.

These rights are separate from your 14-day cancellation rights and are not affected by this policy.

Refunds

Approved refunds will normally be returned using the original payment method.

Where required by law, eligible cancellations will also receive a refund of the standard outbound delivery charge. Additional costs paid for express, premium or other enhanced delivery options may not be refundable beyond the cost of our standard delivery service.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.

4. AUTHENTICITY & PROVENANCE

Last updated: July 2026

Every work within The Dog Vinci Collection forms part of the creative archive of le haus of dog.
Our archive exists to document the origin, identity and evolution of each work and its place within the wider collection.

The Archive
Individual works may be assigned a title, Codex number, edition, year, archive reference or other identifying mark.
These identifiers distinguish particular artworks, products, formats and releases within The Dog Vinci Collection.

Certificates of Authenticity
Selected artworks, limited editions and collector pieces may be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity issued by le haus of dog.
A certificate may record:

Collection
Codex / Work
Edition
Archive Reference
Year of Issue
Medium or Product Type
Each certificate relates only to the piece or edition for which it was issued.
Loss of a certificate does not necessarily invalidate the authenticity of a genuine piece, although replacement certificates cannot always be provided.

Provenance
Provenance is the documented origin and history of a work.
For The Dog Vinci Collection, provenance may include archive records, original order information, certificates, edition numbers, labels, identifying marks and other documentation maintained by le haus of dog.
Collectors are encouraged to retain certificates, original labels and identifying documentation supplied with their pieces.
Limited Editions
Where a work is offered as a numbered or limited edition, the relevant product description will identify the nature and size of that edition.
Different formats, materials, garments, sizes, colourways or interpretations of an artwork may constitute separate releases or editions where they are clearly identified as such.
le haus of dog will not knowingly produce more pieces within a specifically numbered edition than the quantity stated for that edition.
Authenticity
An authentic le haus of dog piece is one originally created, produced, authorised or commissioned by le haus of dog or produced on its behalf by an authorised manufacturing or fulfilment partner.
Unauthorised reproductions, copies or derivative merchandise do not form part of the official collection.
Purchasing an authentic physical piece does not transfer copyright or reproduction rights in the underlying artwork.

Artistic & Historical References
The Dog Vinci Collection draws inspiration from art history, Renaissance culture, historical imagery and the visual language of museums, manuscripts and old masters.
References to historical artists, artworks, periods or institutions may be used for artistic, descriptive, transformative, educational or parodic purposes.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, le haus of dog and The Dog Vinci Collection are independent creations and are not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by or officially connected with any museum, gallery, cultural institution, historical artist's estate or other third party.

Collector Status & Value

Terms such as collector's edition, limited edition, archive piece, provenance and Certificate of Authenticity describe the nature, production or documentation of a piece.
They do not represent or guarantee its present or future financial value.
The value we promise is considerably less Wall Street and rather more civilised: the work, its story and its documented place within the collection.
